Fishing lure charms

Sun Jun 21, 2009, 3:48 AM
I recently discovered fishing lures as "bezels" for polymer clay charms. Still need to improve on them, but the first trial pair of earrings turned out OK. They come in different metallic tones like golden (brass), copper and silver (nickle), which go very well with jewelry. They also come in different sizes, ideal for earrings or pendants.

I can't take credit for this clever idea, as I found it in Tina Holden's blog: [link] She also offers similar "french spinner blades" in her artfire shop.

But I got mine from a fisheries store round the corner. I really need to find an online supply though, if I want to make more of these - they were incredibly unfriendly, they came quite close to actually declining to sell anything to someone like me, who obviously wasn't going to use it for fishing...

EDIT: I can't change my "Mood", since those smileys take forever to load. Everything about DeviantArt has become so slow and unsteady since the last changes, I really preferred the way it was before, even though it looks nice now. Or do these things happen only to me?

  • Mood: Neutral
  • Watching: Boston Legal
